Library Happenings

The Woodbury Elementary School’s 5th/6th grade class visited Monday to check out the building and peruse some different books, before they settled down to read. Our doors were also open for last Friday night’s pumpkin walk, and chilly costumed kiddos stopped in for some yarn crafts.

On a more literary front, a patron checked out The Town that Food Saved, by local author Ben Hewitt, about the food scene in Hardwick. This nonfiction book from 2010 has a cast of real-life characters, including Tom Sterns of High Mowing and Pete Johnson of Pete’s Greens. My favorite part of this terrific book are the husband and wife butchers.addy
